Coal is a big, beautiful dark bay gelding that never raced, he never had the heart or speed for it even though he's bred back to Secretariat, Northern Dancer, Bold Ruler, Mr. Prospector and many other greats. He is a PEOPLE kinda horse, loves kids of all ages. He's not a spooky or hot horse. We've never lunged him before a ride or workout. He's the same horse day in and day out. Very easy keeper. Quiet the gentleman on the ground, our vet and farrier love him and will speak highly of his manners. We have 4 shoes on him since we trail ride in the blue ridge mountains every weekend. He's sure footed and a beautiful flat kneed mover. Has a wonderful trot that can be slowed into an actual Western PLEASURE jog. Has a hunter canter that is controlled and very easy to sit to, same on the trails, roads, fields, or arena. He has been learning to collect and jump with us the last few months. He jumps 2'-2'3'' under saddle with simple changes, and can free jump an easy 3' with a natural set to the fences. Brave jumper for so young and quiet to the fences. We are introducing it to him slowly. He is ready for a few local shows. Videos available 1/11/11 through youtube search touchstonefarmva We do have access to a local indoor arena close by and can show him to interested buyers if there is snow out or bad weather, just have to haul him 5 minutes down the road. He crosses rivers, bridges, and leads or follows on the trails, it's like riding a big tall QH with a longer stride! He trailers and loads into any trailer willingly. $2500 firm,
