Bay TB Mare, 10 yrs, 15.3h.
Gorgeous mare! Loves attention, loves people.Very Sweet.
Great, soft and consistent WTC and jumps with lots of scope. Will jump anything you point her at! Has started her lead changes. Currently schooling 2'6" courses happily. Has been jumped up to 3'6". This mare wants to jump high! Melody does not rush fences, and stays super quiet around courses and can even do them on a loose rein.
Rides calmly out in the field, NOT spooky. Has been to a bunch of XC schoolings and was willing to try anything and everything! Great through water. Goes through rivers and over bridges. Has done banks, drops, ditches, tires, logs and other field "monsters"... She was willing to try anything asked of her.
I have trail ridden her and she is quiet and not spooky. She has been out in our hay fields and out on the road alone. She is not herdbound. She will happily CANTER(not gallop), and trot around our open field on a loose rein. She does not get fast or rush towards home. I have put 11 year olds on her for trail rides, and they loved her! Can ride out with a group or alone. Road safe and good with cars.
Have not foxhunted her, but she would probably be good for it. She is not afraid of dogs or open spaces.
Soft mouthed with a great mind and excellent training. Very flat kneed trot, free moving shoulder. Has been ridden by younger teens and children but is better with an intermediate rider as she prefers guidance.
No Buck, Bolt, or Rear. Flexes at poll and uses her back and hind end nicely. Could make a fabulous dressage or event mount. Has been shown all Summer. 100% sound and healthy with vaccination and vet records. This mare has been well maintained, UTD on all vaccinations, and dental. Has been adjusted by a chiropractor. She is not very reactive through her back and shows no signs of soreness.
Fantastic Bareback mount. Super comfy and calm.
Melody is ridden 5 times a week, and is in good shape. She is sweet and sensible and truly a joy to ride.
"Melody" Clips, Ties, crossties, Bathes, loads(walks right on), Trailers(stands quietly on trailer), good for vet and farrier. She is currently barefoot with excellent hooves. She will have front shoes for show season.Good for mane pulling and grooming. Respects one strand electric fence. Can live out or in a stall. Very easy going girl. Easy to lead, handle, and clip.
Melody is currently turned out alone. I do not know how she is in a group.
