UPDATE: "Then there were 2" I've had this horse since the end of June 2010. I've ridden her on trails in the woods, across ditches, through mud, on the road, had dogs run out at her, etc. She has never offered to kick, has been shod, has had her teeth checked, loves to have her withers & back scratched --- and on and on. I bought her as an open mare, but it
turned out that a young chestnut/white registered paint stallion had gotten in the pasture with her for a brief period --- and she was in fact bred. She had her baby on Friday March 25th and it is a little chestnut filly that I have tentatively named Quarter Moon (Q for short). The photos were taken when she was only a few hours old. I will update them as soon as I have a chance. The asking price for the two of them is still $600, as I am not trying to make a profit --- and I am very fond of Mercedes. I am 68 going on--- and I just decided that I needed a smaller, more laid back pony.
