Cathedral Lodge retired sound from racing after his final start in October. He's been with us long enough to show us a kind, generous temperament, and a willing, can-do attitude. Tiny, as he's known to his friends, is a love in the barn--no passer-by is safe from his nose if they pass within bumping distance.
Tiny has just started his under saddle work as a race track retiree. He shows three clean gaits, and does not seem to be concerned with anything going on around him as he works. He's a powerful guy, and though he's a good listner for his rider, he is a lot of horse. There is not a mean bone in his body, and he shows no bad behavior while ridden--his size alone makes him best suited for a rider experienced in handling big horses.
Tiny retired sound--saw him before, during, and after his final race, and his legs never changed. His feet are beautiful. He is easy to handle and stands well for the farrier. Though he relishes attention, he's not a lover of a good brisk grooming--fortunately he's a pretty good housekeeper, and we can get away with soft brushes and towels on his beautiful black coat.
