Chance was purchased at a local livestock auction. He was a yearling stallion at the time. It was obvious that this youngster had recently been abused and neglected. He was standing in a far and dark pen by himself. He was in pain and the fresh cuts on his knees, face and neck were an obvious that he had been manhandled. You couldnt even touch him without him flinching and putting his head way up in the air.... (read more)
Three years later this once neglected youngster has now blossomed into a wonderful horse. He does not fear people as he once did. Chance is a four year old unregistered purebred Belgian gelding. He is a cherry red color with a pure white mane and tail, three white socks, nice wide white stripe and his right eye is blue.
Chance is handled everyday and does not kick, crib, bite or weave. He ties, crossties, clips, baths and loads.
Chance has OCD in his left hock and a small spot in his right. These things may sound bad but with PROPER care he can and is living a full life. The OCD has been very manageable with Cosequin ASU and Bute (when needed). Chance will be better suited in a home where hes out alot. The veterinarians have recomended he be kept on the move (not 24/7) but outside where he can exercise himself when hes not being ridden. He has been out on trail rides and has loved it! He does have off days but is still a very usable animal.
Chance is currently being ridden all around the farm and has had NO PROBLEMS
NOTE: THIS HORSE WILL BE SOLD WITH A CONTRACT SO THAT HE DOES NOT END UP AT AN AUCTION AGAIN! SERIOUS INQUIRES ONLY.
