Monty is by Tenerife (Raphael - Ahorn - Lucky Boy xx) out of our Graf Gotz/Mud Babe xx mare Glimmer Glass.
Tenerife is an exciting up and coming KWPN stallion competing Internationally in Grand Prix showjumping. Tenerife shares his sire, Raphael, with other international showjumpers like Ramina, Ralph, Robinson, Mill Creek, Raphael, Radiator, and Rüter. Tenerife also traces back to the proven produces Lucky Boy xx, Ahorn, and Farn, who have produced Mimmerdor, The Freak, Geneve, and others.
Tenerife also comes from the famous Loma-line, which is renowned for good conformation and good sport horses. From this line comes the international jumpers VDL Jupiter, US Nopolitan, Zippo, Tinello Nevada, and many more. Toloma and Doloma are national champion mares who also share this lineage. His damline is also good, with mother Opera producing several 1.30-1.40 meter jumpers.
In 2006, Tenerife was the Champion of the 1.20 meter stallion competition, winner of the final, and also of the total ranking. He was also named "Best Future Stallion" at Zwolle. Tenerife scored a jumping index of 122.
Monty is not yet registered, but we are in the process of getting it done. He has inherited Tenerife's beautiful neck and powerful hind end, and Glimmers kind temperament and fancy movement.
