Dixie is a 9 year old bay breedingstock paint mare. She has 4 socks and a wide blaze. She stands approx 14.5-15 hands high and is absolutely gorgeous. I have had her since she was a year old, and have done everything with her. Dixie is a competitive trail horse right now competing in 25 mile rides. I competed on her last year and my very beginner mother has competed on her this year. She will go western or english and is very quiet, she has ridden everywhere; mountains, arenas(indoor and outdoor), and will cross rivers bridges etc.... (read more) Dixie is excellent with your everyday maintenance; feet, teeth, deworming, shots, loading, etc, and is very easy to catch. Dixie has lots of speed if someone wanted to do any speed events with her like barrel racing or pole bending. Dixie has been used for moving cattle as well. She will not take off on you, no bucking or rearing, and she rides just fine without other horses with her. My family has moved on to endurance riding, and have purchased Arabians for this. Sadly Dixie is no longer needed for our competitions. She is too fantastic of a horse to sit around, and she loves getting out, and I wont be able to do that for her anymore, so I have made the difficult decision to offer her for sale. She also has had a foal and had no difficulties and we still have the filly she had. Dixie is HYPP negative.
