Spike is a 10 year old Quarterhorse gelding. He is approx 15-15.1hh. Spike has a nice, sturdy build. He will ride english or western. If you like having a light, responsive horse under you than this is your guy. Spike has an excellent neck rein-just a light touch. He is ready to do as asked by his rider. Responsive to seat and leg pressure as well. He has comfy gaits. Nice slow jog and lope. He knows his leads and will offer flying lead changes with just seat pressure. Moves right out when asked, but has a good stop. Side passes, turns on haunches, spins, roll backs. Has been taken to a few gymkhanas. Trailers great and is super quietly when taken off farm. Spike is also very confident on the trail. Will go over and through anything you ask. Extremely respectful and has excellent ground manners. Lead him with your pinky finger. Will stand tied quietly all day. Cross ties, picks up feet, bathes, loads in trailer quietly. Out with other mares and geldings and is very well mannered out there as well. All round ranch horse who is just nice to work around. Easy keeper, no grain.
