Butterscotch - 13 hands, approx 24 yrs old, mare, POA type pony. Just the perfect beginner size. BEEN THERE"¦DONE THAT PONY. She is an awesome beginner, lead-line or backyard pony. She will follow you around the corral without a lead-line. You can even ride her with just a halter and lead-rope as a bridle. She is super friendly and the first to nicker when it is feeding time (or when she thinks it is feeding time!!). Easy to catch. Stands for farrier, vet, worming and trailers well.... (read more) UTD on vaccines and teeth this spring (including coggins and EEE). Feet trimmed 9/28. My 5-1/2 yr old daughter can be around her safely in the field and go grab her all by herself out of her corral. She is on senior grain and eats 1st cutting grass hay only. She cannot be out on full pasture, especially during the spring. And should have a stall during the winter. She was a previous speed pony, so she now has arthritis in her front legs making it hard for her to trot sometimes. She is on a joint supplement and it seems to be helping. My daughter is now ready for a faster 4H pony. We are offering Butterscotch to a good home only with horse experience since she foundered once in her mid teens. She also has the "appy eyes" so she has trouble at night with her vision. We are asking a $300 (negotiable) to insure she goes to a loving home who will love her like we have for the last 5 years.
