Outbackjacks Horse Rescue - Outbackjacks Horse Rescue is a project developed by Gena Sandli. Her mission is to bring horses in need to the ranch, rehabilitate them and then place them into new and nurturing homes. To date the rescue has placed numerous horses with successful adoptions.
We specialize in care for all ages and will take on horses suffering from abuse, neglect or any other problems. At the present time the ranch has facilities for up to 8 horses. Plans are underway to construct a 12 stall barn with plumbing, create new paddocks and build a hay storage area.
Outbackjacks is a non profit rescue approved by and an Agent of The Horse Protection Society of BC 1984. We are appealing to individuals, companies and organizations to consider donating. Our efforts have been acknowledged and featured in the Similkameen Spotlight, Global News, The Vancouver Sun and others.
Often, horses arrive in distress and require intensive veterinary care, specialized feeding requirements, medications, farrier services and other rehabilitation services or treatment before they are ready to adopt. Your donations are greatly appreciated and will help horses recover and return to a healthy state to then be placed into a proper situation. We carefully screen all potential adoption applications to ensure the horse will be well looked after, loved, and any long term health needs will be followed diligently.
