We have a 6 yr AQHA mare (Bar W Four Socks) w/filly at her side for sale.
They are also being offered for a free off-site lease for at least 6 months with option to buy. Or off-site lease for 1 year at $100 a month then after that year they would be yours. Would be open to other leasing arrangements too, just ask! Let us know what you are thinking!
Filly has application for registration. Her sire is AQHA Perty Doc Blackburn. She was born July 13th, 2010.
The mare may be pregnant again, she was running with the same stallion. We have not verified it.
They were exposed to gun shots and small planes taking off, neither of which bothered them.
They are hesitant around new people, once they get to know you they are fine. The filly is a little sweetie.
The mare's dam was an excellent cow horse. She is not broke, but seems to be a willing learner. She is at a trainer's being worked with, and will be until she is sold.
We bought with the intention of training the mare, raising and training the filly. We are only selling because things did not work out as planned with boarding and such.

*The mare had her first ride yesterday (9/27/10) and did really good! She will continue to be worked undersaddle.
*The mare has been continued to be worked undersaddle (10/3/10). She is doing really well. She lunges well and listens to the trainer's legs guiding her into a circle.
