Cayenne is a yearling, gelded, Mammoth John, red roan, donkey. He has been turned out on pasture for the last 6 months, but when pulled in, besides being just a little shaggy, he was just as sweet, outgoing, curious, and friendly as he'd been prior to being turned out. He also hadn't forgotten any of the groundwork training he had received either. He leads, loads, ties, and lifts all 4 feet, stands for grooming, bathing, clipping, and body shaving too.
Cayenne is very smart, and has tons of personality. Both of those traits, combined with his good looks, great confirmation, and pretty head, make him highly suitable for the show ring. He could be the next "big thing" in the arena!! He also has great potential to be a quiet, steady, and sane trail mount as well. Cayenne is pretty enough for show and gentle enough for children to ride once trained. He is also quiet enough to start showing in halter classes now, and be very successful! He is at the appropriate age to start training to pull a small show buggy as well.
Cayenne and his pasture buddy, Pepper, have both been observed loping around the field and demonstrating flying lead changes as well as jumping anything that is in their way. What fun to teach him to do it correctly and on cue!! If potential was money, this youngster would be a million dollars!!
Cayenne is being offered for sale at $850. Additional training is available to his future owner as well, up to and including saddle breaking at the appropriate age if desired.
