****UPDATED 7/1/10**** Patty was introduced to the draft work harness June 25th and 28th. She was very good and was not bothered by the harness or bridle. She was ground driven in the harness and she was very good. She got used to the Blinders quickly. Patty has also been started working with cows. She is showing natural "cow sense" and a willingness to learn.****
Patty is a well started 3 year old Registered Haflinger mare. She is an excellent trail horse that has good basics on her, but could be finished up to do anything. She has been ridden mainly English but has been ridden in the western saddle a few times also.
She was started lightly in the Fall of 2009. She was ridden once a week January through the middle of March and has since been ridden 3-5 times a week. Patty Walks, Trots and Canters under saddle.
Patty walks over tarps and has been ridden inside and outside. She has been trail ridden and nothing bothers her. She has been ridden by herself and with other horses. She is confident and calm, and traffic safe. I ride her almost daily next to US RT 71. Patty was ridden bareback the first tiem she was ridden next to 71 and she did not even look at it. She's been around other horses, dogs, chickens, cows, goats and three boys. She gives rides to younger children as well. Patty is 100% healthy and sound. She has no vices. Patty clips, bathes, loads, stands for the farrier, stands for shots and ties quietly. She is up to date on shots and worming.
Patty was taken to the Ashland Co. Fair for 2 years. She was well behaved in her class and in the stall all week.
