SOLD BARB & TIFFANY THANKS GOOD LUCK AND HAVE FUN
April 2 & 3 Flint had 20 min ground driving sessions. Is well on his way to being trained to drive. He will continue being ground driven in the next few weeks and then hooked up to a cart
April 1 st -Flint was fitted with a harness and had his first ground driving session, which went very well
MARCH 8th 2011 Vet was out to draw blood for Coggins test. Will have current coggins papers. ADDED NOTE : Flint will be started under harness soon. As his training progresses under saddle and in harness his price will increase.
March 4th 2011 Blacksmith out to trim feet. Stood quiet and did everything when asked
March 1,2 & 3-2011 On these three days Flint was ridden outside doing just basic lateral work to get him back into a routine. The 2nd & 3rd day were more focused on trailer loading (absolutly no problems walked right on and backed righy off) and a "mock" shoeing session, which he did very well with.
2-15-2011 Due to a few days of good weather and little ice Flint has been back to working outside. UPDATED PHOTO
2-1-2011 DUE TO VERY ICY AND INCLIMANT WEATHER FLINT IS BEING RIDDEN IN THE BARN FOR 10 MIN (each session) TO KEEP HIM FOCUSED. ONCE THE WEATHER BREAKES WE'LL CONTINUE TRAINING OUTSIDE
11 22-2010 Flint is now being ridden on the road schooling in light to medium traffic. He had a little hesitation when he encountered the first jogger he had ever seen. First day on the road he had cars passing from behind him. He handled it with total professionalism. At first, when cars were coming at him, he was a little behind the bit. But
soon figured out that nothing was hurting him. Flint still continues forward in his training
10-16-2010 Flint continues to move forward in his training. If you are intrested in how his training is going please dont hesitate to call or email. Iwill post updates every few weeks.Training will continue until sold.
Flint is a three year old purebred Percheron gelding. Has a lovable temperment and an extremely pleasant disposition. Flint has good ground manners and a willing to please horseality. Calm and sensible. Clips (ears too), ties, leads, loads and stands quietly for baths. Picks up any foot when asked and stands patiently for the blacksmith. Currently being started under saddle and in harness. This young horse has a ton of potential to do just about anything. Price will increase as training progresses.
