Additional Comments:
Nora had a sucessful season on the track, until she was bought and became a broodmare. She had a super 2008 colt by the Trakehner Verband Champion stallion Le Rouge, who really impressed the judges. He is the first Le Rouge offspring in North America. He recieved comments such as "This is exactly what they're trying to breed for in Germany, and we have it right here." He shows an easy going personality with a high aptitude for dressage.
Nora foals out on time, is easy to work with, and is not over protective of her foals. She carries her foal well, and really trusts people when it comes time for her to foal out. We are only selling this mare as we are changing directions with our breeding goals. We are not set up to handle more than 3 foals a year, and prefer to breed 2. Therefore, she was left open last year. She catches easily, and was bred usingone dose of frozen semen for her 2008 foal, and again for her 2011 foal.
She is by the stallion Devonwood, and out of the thoroughbred mare Our Peanut(x Chapel Creek). Her scores from her trakehner licensing include: exterior 1-8, walk: 7, trot: 8, canter: 7, for an overall mark of 7. This summer she was added into the MAIN MARE BOOK of the Oldenburg Verband, and can produce breeding stallions. The examiners thought she was a mare of great size, and gorgeous looks. She got a 7 on her exterior, trot elasticity and her head! She easy to work with to prepare for inspections, and great in the trailer.
Nora is up to date on deworming, having her feet done, and teeth. More pictures available. She is bred for a June 2011 foal to Trakehner Verband champion stallion and sire Le Rouge. This is a re-breeding, her previous foal is two years old and continues to astound people with his fantastic personality, lofty movement, and great looks.
Video of her 2010 Oldenburg Inspection, and 2008 colt available on our website.
