"Vally" is sadly offered for sale because I am now involved with AQHA and am too busy with my first job to ride (or pay for) two horses, and his talent needs to be used. I have owned him for nearly ten years; his only other owner was his breeder/trainer. He is a reg'd half-Arabian who I showed very successfully in HA/AA Hunter Pleasure and Equitation (as a junior rider) on the Arabian circuit (including at the Region XII Championship Show in 2006). He has also been shown (and did well in) Training and First level dressage. For the last few years, I have competed mostly in jumpers with him. He has won the Hopeful (2'6) Jumpers more often than not when he competed at MHJA shows; he has also been shown once in Level 1 (3'0-3'3) Jumpers. Fast, brave, agile--never hits the rails, very easy to jump. I qualified for 4-H Regionals 4 out of 6 years with him in the over fences classes when I was still eligible for 4-H; he was also top 3 in dressage for several years in a row (until I aged out). Automatic lead changes, no set up required for jumps--does it all himself. Vally would do best with an intermediate or above rider when showing; when in a regular routine, anyone can ride him. Perfect for a kid looking to move up or try out jumpers, or for a small adult. Someone has said he would make a good eventer. He is an extremely easy keeper, currently turned out 24/7 and barefoot. He has been ridden (and even shown) western but is not a western horse (did well in Western Riding and Trail in 4-H--good with patterns/maneuvers). Price is negotiable--please make an offer.
