Dixie is a sweet 12yo Mare. Lease/Sale options to the perfect home ONLY. She is trained English & is green over fences, but very willing. Could go Western with more training. Has a soft mouth, moves forward easily, W/T/C both directions, & lunges. I have shown her this past year & she did very well-- placing in every class! She is great on the trail, too. Good with the farrier. Kept barefoot and completely sound. UTD shots/coggins. She is not mare-ish & gets along well with others. Loads, clips, bathes, cross-ties. She would be good for a beginner with the supervision of an experienced rider/trainer, although she would still be fun to ride for a more advanced rider. Dixie has some scarring on her left rear leg, but she has never been lame. She also gets out of breath easily if asked to canter/jump for long periods of time. It does not impair her from being ridden/shown. She just needs a rider that knows her limits. She is extremely willing & is ridden now approximately 4x's per week with no problems. She should not be used for upper level jumping or as a lesson horse for a busy barn. I am selling due to financial reasons. Please contact me for more info/pics. Price is firm.
