Penny, formerly Hearty Mogul, is a 9yr. old Standardbred mare. We purchased her 3 years ago, while she was still sound and racing. Since then, she has been ridden English and western (direct rein.) She has excellent ground manners, and loads nicely, thanks to this summer's Natural Horsemanship training. She has done gaming three summers in a row and placed quite competitively! She won her first blue ribbon in w/t classes at the BTA/BOLT hunt seat show this year. She also placed in two NBHA barrel runs, earning back most of her entry fees! This little girl LOVES jumping as well. Can clear 2'3 verticals, and will jump natural obstacles (logs, banks, etc.). She is a born pacer, but her trot is coming along nicely. She carries herself nicely, and is even learning some vertical flexion at the walk and trot. Cross ties, ground ties, stands loose for grooming, tacking up, and bathing. Behaves perfectly for the vet and farrier. BAREFOOT! I am currently riding her in a barrel saddle and a smooth snaffle. I am sad to sell her, but I am forced to for financial reasons.
