Mike is an all-around great trail horse! He is solid, true and ready to please... He is a five year old bay gelding with lots of stop in him. Just lately we rode him on an all day trail ride with around 100 other horses and wagon teams. He never spooked or seemed in the least bit nervous and there wasn't anything that he wouldn't go thru! My husband even stands on his back and cracks a 12 ft. long bull whip whithout Mike moving at all. A great horse that anyone could ride, anywhere! He is partially neck reined and it wouldn't take much to finish off his head. He does work off of leg pressure and takes his cues like a champ. Lazy J Ranch - We are a small ranch just outside of Macon, MS. Our lives are very busy with all that happens on our farm. We have 3 children ages 9,6,and2. The two oldest compete in local shows from April to October, and my husband has calf-roped for 10 years or so now. I offer riding lessons from April through November and we also board and train for the public. We love this life and feel very blessed to be able to raise our kids on a horse ranch. |
