George is a 16.3 hd 7 year old reg. appendix QH gelding. He is a brown/bay color in the summer, but very dark in the winter.
This summer George was used in a camp program at Pony Farm in Temple, NH. He adjusted great to new people riding him at camp and I received great feedback. He has been ridden by both counselors and campers.
Right now he is still being boarded at Pony Farm, where he is ridden by instructors. They would love to have him back for camp, but we need to find him a home because I just don't have the time for him.
George is experienced with +/- 2'9 courses, potential to do the 3'6. I can see him being a 3'6 eq horse with more mileage. He has natural changes and a big stride. He is honest over fences, big or small. George is good on the trail, great riding alone or with others. He is best for a more experienced or stronger rider as he can take advantage of a weak rider by acting lazy, but gets going with a good warmup. George was being ridden with a martingale, mostly with less experienced riders, but can be ridden without one. He also was barefoot for the four years I had him at my house, but had front shoes put on for the summer because he went on trails and at camp. He is great for the farrier.
George does trailer very well, however I own a stock trailer so he doesn't have experience with anything other than step-up slant load trailers. I'm sure he would learn to straight load easily.
I'm in college, so George needs a home where someone will continue to teach him and use him to his full potential.
**He would be a great horse for someone looking to put work into a horse over the winter and have him ready to show next summer!**
