Lockee is a big-boned, athletic 16hh Thoroughbred gelding with great conformation and beautiful gaits. Lockee is smart, brave and extremely curious. He loves to trail ride and is also good with obstacles and has the aptitude for trail class. I love this horse but Lockee is too hard to handle for a middle-aged beginner in that he will challenge a rider he knows is not in charge. A confident, experienced rider who is kind and patient but firm brings out the best in him. The trainer where I board him trail rides him often and he behaves perfectly for her.He has very good ground manners and is affectionate and interested in EVERYTHING. He is up-to-date on all vaccinations, has had his teeth floated recently, is regularly wormed and seen by the farrier.
