Additional Comments:
Docs Lil Topaz is a 2003 AQHA sorrel mare, aka Topaz. This is a nice mare that was started under saddle when she was a 3yo, but she hasn't been rode much since. She has never offered to be bronky or anything like that, she is just a little bit green as far as her handle goes. She is safe in foal to our Perlino stallion, Bucksbitaprecrption for a 2010 foal. This foal is guaranteed to be a buckskin or palomino or (rarely a smokey) black foal no matter what! The baby will most likely will be a buckskin because Buck is a perlino which is a bay with a cream gene (under all that pearl-ly color!). In 2009 he produced all buckskins on sorrel mares except for 1 palomino. This ought to be a good cross plus with great color. Topaz has a lot of cow and she has a full brother that has been very very successful as a ranch rodeo horse and he has a lot of titles and has won a lot of money. Several of her other half brothers and sisters made really nice cutting horses and rope horses. Topaz has a great pedigree and good, correct, conformation with a good head and neck. She has a HUGE bright perky eye. (I am a big fan of a good eye in a horse!) She has a clean throat latch, short back, good withers, nice slope to her shoulder, pastern and hip and good feet. She is also an extremely easy keeper. She stays fat on just grass. Topaz is athletic and very cowy mare, and has a soft face with a nice stop for as little riding as she has had. I think that she would make a great sorting horse, heel horse and of course broodmare. She would also make a cutter, but she would be very behind in that program. She stands about 14.3hh. Topaz's sire is an own son of Doc's Hickory and her momma is an own daughter of San Peppys Doc, an NCHA ME, and out of a Dry Docs Image mare. 2-N-1 Package deal. $2,000. You can see more pics of her and others that we have for sale at our website www.RockingJPRanch.com
