Scooby is a 6 year old APHA registered gelding. He is a great trail horse. He will do anything you ask of him. He was green broke when I got him, but has had alot of work put in him to get him where I wanted him. He requires an experienced rider. He is well mannered with guidence, but without an experienced hand he will go his own way. I have worked with him using Parelli and Clinton Anderson techniques. He will yield his hindquarters, flex and back with very minimal cues. I ride him with a plain snaffle. He walks over tarps, pushes barrels, stands for gate opening, crosses water, walks over logs, will stand for mounting next to the tailgate of a pickup, loads well. With patience, he will do whatever you want him to do. He has an english trot, extended trot so he could easily be trained to do HUS classes or english equitation. He has been exposed to cattle, goats, pigs, dogs, 4 wheelers, horse shows (not competing). With additional training he could make a good cow horse. Come out and give him a try.
