"Dolly" is a really gorgeous young Jenny donkey. She LOVES treats! She stands about 51 inches and is thick. Would make a great pet or companion for another donkey or horse. She likes her face scratched, but doesn't "crave" attention like we'd prefer.We recently purchased her to use as a necking donkey for our weanling foals, but she is not the "in your pocket" type donkey we were hoping for. We've had a halter on her, and she does lead. . .just not extremely well. We were told that she was ridden several years ago (we've not tried it) we were also told that she does trick, ie: drinking beer from a bottle (again, have not tried it). She is in a pen with two old mares and 2 weanlings now and is no trouble. She even helps keep the neighbors dog away. She's also raised a couple of babies with her previous owner.We may consider trading for another donkey that is friendlier and better suited for what we want. Other trade offers considered.
