Additional Comments:
FOR LEASE: 14 yr old, grade, large pony. Surprise is 14.1 hands and is safe for small children and beginner riders. She rides both english and western and was shown in 4-H for 7 years. She was shown in Western Pleasure, Equitation, Trail, and Hunter Under Saddle. She has also been shown at Open Shows around the area under both kinds of tack for the last 10 years. Surprise qualified for the 4-H State Horse Show for two years in Trail and placed in the top 10 both times. She also went to States for Showmanship during my last year. She is super quiet on the ground or on her back and is easy to ride. She would be a fabulous walk-trot horse for a beginner rider under western or english. She is very cute as a hunter pony in her movement as well as her flashy bay coloring. I also started her over some small jumps this summer and she is very cute and willing. She would also make an excellent mount for a young intermediate who is just starting to jump. She was shown at the Centre County Grange Fair Show this past August and did Crossrails, Hunter Hack, and Hunter Over Fences for the first time. She placed in all 3 classes with over 15 riders in each one. Surprise would do excellent in 4-H and/or Pony Club. Instead of starting your child out on a small pony who is too stubborn to control, try Surprise! She would be a great confidence builder for a beginner rider of any age and is quiet and willing enough for a child who is just starting out. Surprise has been my horse for many years but I have graduated college and am moving on with things. I would love to see her still get used for something besides just occasional pony rides around my parents' farm. Come see her now and reserve for next show season! You will be responsible for all vet and farrier bills and feed during leased period. She has negative coggins and rabies from the summer and has no history of conditions that require vet care. She will require shoes during the riding season. No vices. Clips, hauls, bathes. $200/month
