Additional Comments:
Duke is 10 years old. He is solid black and very handsome! He stands for the farrier and loads very well. He is not used to being tied to a trailer, as we don't have a reason to do this. He stands and clips great, stands to be washed and does not mind fly spray!
He is a very calm horse and very willing to learn and a quick learner at that. He was sent away to learn to trail ride several years ago for about a month or so.
He gets along very well with other horses, is not the one to cause any trouble, and is familiar with our dogs, goats, chickens and alpacas.
We have had a trainer work with him a few times, he is gaited and was remembering how to neck reign.
The only reason we would like to find him a new home is due to our lack of experience and he does spook every now and then.
He just needs someone who has more time and knows what they are doing to get him to his full potential!! We bought him 2 years ago for our nine year old daughter and he is a little too much horse for us and her since we have no horse knowledge!
He is such a great horse, who is calm, loving and eager to please and can only go to a good home!
