Additional Comments:
We start colts from the ground up, using natural horsemanship methods. Horses will be taught to move hindquarters, frontquarters, sidepass on ground, back easily, accept saddle and other desentizing objects, and be respectful, all before mounting. Then we teach colts to back, have a nice stop, move off leg pressure, frontquarters, hindquarters and sidestep, lope circles and much more. We don't just ride them in a closed area we get them out and let them move their feet, we ride on the ranch around cattle and all kinds of equipment, take them on couple hour trail rides, we try to expose them to as much as possible. Horses are kept in their own seperate pens, with plenty bremuda hay and fresh water, and grained once a day. They are stall during bad weather and cold spells. We have a 40ft wooded roundpen, a 50 panel roundpen, 65 by 175 roping/riding arena, and several miles of trails we can work the horses on. We don't require but recommend keeping horses at least 60 days to get a decent foundation on them. We also have a few horses for sale year around, from yearlings to rope horses and all in between.
