**** I have started Penny on the barrel pattern. She took to it with ease and shows great promise. Price may change with further training. ************** VIDEOs posted on my web site of my kids riding her!!! *** UPDATE (9/21/09) - We took Penny to the Lacygne Festival parade and she did great! We were behind about 10 4-wheelers and in front of the Lacygne police car with its lights on and he would sound his siren every so often. Never phased her a bit. All the people lined up and crowding around didn't bother her a bit either. We let my cousin (who has only been riding for about a year) get on her and ride her around and they did great. She is BROKE! ****** Penny is a well broke mare. Penny is currently being ridden and will be until sold. We have trail rode her at LaCygne Lake, down the road, to town to get ice cream, in the pasture. My 13yo daughter rides her fine and she is a novice/intermediate rider. She only trail rides every so often. I wouldn't put a beginner on her that doesn't know how to stop a horse, or know how to turn it, make it go and such. She will load, tie, lead, bathe. She has good feet that need little maintenance. Just keep leveled and balanced. Neck reins great. Should make a good buggy horse if someone wanted to train her for that. She will cross train tracks, ditches, down trees, water, mud, streets, etc. She will sometimes hesitate first to look at what she will cross, but will go with little encouragement. She has nice straight, clean legs. UTD on 5-way vacc. and dewormings. Easy keeper. Will respect an electric fence. Can be rode with spurs if you wish. Has not had any injuries to my knowledge except normal scrapes to the hide now and then. Clean legs. Vet checks at buyers expense. www.j-squarterhorses.com
