Additional Comments:
My Dear Girl is a 16 hand 5 year old 1/2 Irish Thoroughbred bay mare for sale. She is schooling 1st level dressage, and is very easy and light in the bridle, has nice leg-yields, shoulder-in, and lengthenings at the trot. She is schooling 3' courses and has easy lead changes. She has schooled 3'6" and has the scope for more. She has the balance and athleticism of a Thoroughbred, but the extremely quiet temperament of a grade horse. Perfect manners at all times, and very level headed- one of the horses we put out with youngsters to calm them in "scary" situations. Great on the roads and trails and has even gone into town, stopped at the gas station, gone over RR tracks, across busy roads, all while being the leader! Bathes, loads, trailers, and ties perfectly. She is sound, healthy, has straight legs and good feet, and is an easy keeper (needs no grain- only hay!). She is also ridden by children and takes 10 year olds right around 2'6" courses with her lead changes!! She is a safe and reliable ride. She has shown at a local schooling show and was excellent. She will be a wonderful young rider's horse for eventing or dressage, but would also do very well in the hunter ring. Her 6 year old maternal 1/2 brother is competing at the beginner novice level at rated events with teen rider with dressage scores such as 22.5! A steal at $10,000.
