Additional Comments:
"Lottie" is 'a lot of horse' in many ways, including her athletic abilities and personality. Originally bred and raised in California, she is a tall, pretty, flashy, 'spirited' 1/2 Arabian pinto 16-year-old mare. Her current owner purchased Lottie five years ago, and the pretty mare had received quite a bit of training when younger. Lottie has most recently been used in the arena as a hunter/jumper as well as Entry and Training Level dressage classes at shows, but loves the trails too. She really steps out briskly, has very forward comfortable gaits, bravely and willingly goes through water, over bridges and is sure-footed and SELDOM spooked by anything along the road or trail. Lottie would just as soon go out by herself, but can also be ridden with another horse or a group (she is not barn-sour) where she she prefers to lead due to her long legged fast walk. She is accustomed to all sorts of 'critters' including dogs, cattle, llamas, goats, sheep and poultry. Lottie DID get nervous about a train and also turkeys, but both should be FAIRLY easy to avoid on the trails. In a herd, Lottie has always been low in the pecking order - just not very ascertive, and typically is not very mare-like (she rarely screams or kicks). She is braver with people, so needs a confident, knowledgeable person or she can try to be the boss. She is rather 'typical' of many Arabians, in that she is very intelligent, sensitive, athletic and can be excitable; yet she is always kind, sweet willing, loving and loyal. Lottie is good to clip (both body-clipping and face, ears and legs); and stands nicely for the farrier. Lottie is only for sale because her young-lady owner has recently graduated college, gotten a full time job and gotten married. She just doesn't have time any more to spend with Lottie and she is much too nice and well-trained to just stand around in a pasture somewhere. Lottie needs a new best-friend who can actively enjoy her on the trails (maybe in endurance?) or utilize some of the training which she received over the years. Lottie is out of shape now, but sound, current on her shots, worming, etc. and lives in the Spokane, Washington area. A short video clip is also available to serious inquiries and her price at $1,500 is OBO. All offers from a good home will be considered.
