Dash is the best of both worlds - sired by a well-bred, cowy, athletic Quarter Horse stud who goes to DASH FOR CASH; and out of a BIG, beautiful, ex-jumper/eventer DAMASCUS-bred Thoroughbred mare, she has the height, heart, elastic and graceful gaits and forward movement of her lovely dam, yet a slightly quieter brain and ability to 'slick it in the ground' from her sire. She has excellent conformation with a beautiful head, very shapely neck, long sloping shoulder with a good wither, powerful muscular hindquarters, and straight well-boned legs with hard, good-walled feet. Dash has had the best of care since birth, with lots of handling, love and ground training for respect. Dash wasn't ever pushed in her training nor over fed for quick development because her owner values the benefits of allowing a young horse (and especially a BIG baby) to mature slowly for future soundness. This beautiful young mare wasn't started under saddle until last year, when she turned six. She proved to be very intelligent, catty in spite of her size, and was a good, quick-learning student. Dash was brought back home after a couple of months of work under saddle, which included arena and trail work, then spent last winter turned out. This year she has been worked with minimally due to her owner's busy schedule, but as shown in the photos above (which were just taken, Sept. 3rd) Dash remembered all her previous lessons and rode out nicely. Dash has an outstanding future with a serious show or working career, whether it be as a hunter, jumper, cross-country horse, barrel racing, all-around in the show ring or ranch work with cattle - she has the ability to do it all and just needs someone with the time and knowledge to help shape her future. Dash is sound, totally healthy, has nice ground manners, and loads and hauls well. Dash has turned out to be the dream horse which her owner wishes she had owned years ago before her health and life-changes took their toll. Her owner realizes that she won't ever be able to offer Dash the future she deserves with a serious active rider and/or trainer, so she is sadly putting Dash up for sale. Dash is 'a lot of horse', certainly not suitable for a novice, but a knowledgeable experienced horseman will appreciate all this lovely young mare has to offer.
