Additional Comments:
Don't let the price fool you, there is nothing wrong with Little Bear except she was born without a black line down her back. Because of this she cannot be registered in the KMA. Everything else about her says great sturdy mountain horse. Every one of her bothers and sisters have been tall level headed horses. She is no exception except for the wrong color. If she had that line she would be a $2500 horse. If you want a quality Kiger but don't care about papers, this mare has all the qualities of a Kiger in a bay body.

Company / Facility:
Circle S Ranch and Outfitters - Circle S Ranch and Outfitters is located in the heart of the Illinois Valley, in ruggedly beautiful Southern Oregon. Situated in the middle of three Wilderness Areas (The Kalmiopsis, The Red Buttes, and the Siskiyou), its valley pastures and high mountain meadows are ideally suited to raising cattle and tuff mountain horses.
The Indians, trappers, miners, and ranchers who over the years have called these mountains home, have always had a deep appreciation for good horses. Following in this tradition, the Circle S is very proud of its cavvy as well, consisting mainly of Kiger Mustangs. These horses, with their stamina, disposition, and sense to savvy a cow have proven themselves to us as indispensable mountain/ranch horses.
The Circle S is proud to carry on many of the traditions of the "Old Californios" and Great Basin buckaroos (va-que-ros). Squeeze chutes and ATVs are left to rust in the rain, but you never have to look around for a rope. Every opportunity to bring our colts a little farther down the road to true usefullness is taken advantage of, whether it be sorting, branding, or just checking fences, we try not to get caught on foot.
We are always welcome to any questions about the Kiger Breed, our way of life, and how the two are intertwined. The doors are always open and the coffee always hot. |
