Additional Comments:
At 8 years old and 16.1 hh, this Appendix Quarter Horse gelding can do it all! Junior has been in training over fences for several months and is a natural! He has the size and temperament to take a serious rider as far as they want to go. He just went to his first horse show and did extremely well! He took every fence like he’d done it his whole life. He behaved so well the first day that we decided to have a 13-year-old show him . . . just to see what would happen. She was able to jump him in the Low Children's/AA Hunter 2'6" classes. (A new height for both horse and rider!) And they did extremely well - getting their lead changes, striding through the lines, steady pace throughout the course, and in the ribbons in every class! Prior to jumping Junior was used as a trail/hunting horse (packing elk out of the backcountry) and has a been there-done that mentality. I don't think there are enough adjectives to accurately describe this horse. He is one of the nicest jumping horses I've trained. You can trust him to not run into, out of, or away from any jump - he just goes over anything you put in front of him and keeps his pace the same. He has a very sweet disposition, loves attention, has excellent ground manners, loads in the trailer, stands for the farrier, etc. Visit www.valanciafarms.com for more information. Additional pictures and video from the show will be posted soon.
