Dixie is a 5 year old percheron mare. She was bred to a jet black percheron stud at the end of march 09. I have not yet gotten conformation from vet but I believe she is in foal. She has gained her belly, and has not been in heat again, and has her mood swings. I would say she stands between 17 and 17.2 hands, her wither is taller then me and I stand 5' 6 1/2". She is green broke, needs work but wont be difficult to finish, she has cow hopped on us twice, nothing major. She stands for grooming, bath, tacking, and farrier. Trailers like a dream. I need something smaller to handle, I am pregnant and have an injured knee and she is just too big for me to hobble along next to while leading her. I feel bad letting her sit when someone could do so much with her. I think she could make an awesome mounter police horse, and she has a beautiful extended trot poss. dressage, or even just a trail horse... can do anything.
