Additional Comments:
Dakotah is a 9 year old Thoroughbred x Quarter Horse Gelding. Sorrel, with a tiny white star, and a faint hind sock.
He is very well mannered..gives feet easily, doesn't mind being sprayed. Completely fine with tarps, plastic bags, and the lunge whip. He has no problem with water, mud, cows, loud vehicles, dirtbikes, quads, cats, dogs, and children.
You can ride him English or Western, he has been ridden extensively in both. I also ride him bareback with just a halter quite frequently. He is taught to listen to voice commands. I have small sisters (ages 4 and 6), so I frequently put them on him bareback and let them ride him with just a halter. His previous owner jumped him, I think around 3ft. I have lightly jumped him (2ft). I also started him on barrels about 6 months ago. He is quite comfortable with loping the pattern, and turns pretty good. He has been trail ridden extensively, alone and with other horses. Dakotah would be best suited for a person who is looking for a beginner or starter horse. He has a lot of go when you ask, but he also has no problem in taking it slow.
Reason for Selling: I am 15 years old, and school is starting soon. Im getting a job, and I just wont have time for him anymore. I love him to death, and it breaks my heart that I have to sell him, but It isn't fair to let him just sit out in the pasture. He likes having a job, and he likes being with people. He hasn't been ridden very much in the past four months, and I just don't have time for him.
I'm asking $2300, OBO.
UTD on all shots, and farrier.
Email for more pictures, Information, or if you would like to come and try him out.
UPDATE: If Dakotah is not sold by November 11, I will be attending a Horse Clinic with him, focusing on better performance and horsemanship. I will also be using him in my 4-H Rides starting in November.
