Duke is a well broke trail horse that was a barrel horse in the past. He is a beautiful 14 year old sorrel that stands for bathing, saddling, bridle, trimming, and shoeing. He was certified in the Roseau County Posse for 2 years, and has been exposed to countless objects and noises. He is traffic safe, dog, cat, tractor, lawn mower, parade, flag, siren, four wheeler, etc safe. We have taken him swimming and he had a blast. He goes through my obstacle course like a dream. It consists of tarps, tires, plastic bags, teeter totter, stairs, ramp, platform, foam mattress, hula hoops and water hoses. His spooks are normally very small. He won't run away from you, or out of your hand. He does not push into the bit, or into the tie down. He does not buck, and is used to give children rides by leading or when I am also in the saddle. He rides double with no fuss. I do not ride him alone due to a bear problem, but he will ride alone with a little coaxing. Duke is to a good home only. He has been rode by beginners, but should be rode by an intermediate to experienced person, because he walks fast and has a lot of get up and go. His price is low so he can find a nice caring home. He would be great for a teenager or young adult. Someone who is calm and light handed. He perfers women over men.

Duke was rode in Wadena, MN for a Posse training. He was rode through town where a really intense training took place. There were fire trucks, ambulances, police cars, crowds, accidents, 3 story fire, and more. Duke did awesome! He took it all like it was nothing. The only thing he did not like was the fire, but he wasn't out of control. We had to do escorts, and contain crowds. We had to keep crowds in one spot while they are yelling, throwing their arms, and even throwing things and running at you. Duke did great.
