Additional Comments:
Precious worked as a working ranch horse for most of her life. She needs a long-term retirement home where she can still work some because she loves it but not to hard now that she is 20yrs old. We have had her for 4 years, and she has been working on cattle drives and round ups with us as well as trail ridding at a much less stressful pace. Precious has had lots of training and experience with cows and working stock. She has too much training and work experince for beginner riders, she cant get hot and move fast – very enjoyable for the accomplished rider! She loads, clips, trailers, and bathes without any problems.. This mare is very quick, agile and light. She responds to the lightest of touches. She has rare to find foundation breeding and is 95%, with key AQHA foundation stallions in her 1st three generations - Peppy San Badger, Doc Bar and Royal King.. She is vet checked and cleared for embryo transfer. Precious has had 3 foals; all were easy deliveries. Precious trail rides with other horses, no problems. Since she need a special home their will be no adoption fee however three or our team members must approve her adoption application, and adoptee must pass three random site visits the 1st year she is with her new home before full ownership will be given, including her AQHA papers or Co-ownership.Precious’ breeding (95% Foundation QH) has such greats as Peppy San Badger, Doc Bar and Royal King. Precious has very good bloodlines and truly does represent a foundation-bred mare. Most of her topside is King Ranch breeding which was and still remains one of the key quarter horse breeding programs for the breed. While her topside close-up stallions are not performers per se, they are very typical of the king ranch and the quality of King ranch horses speaks for itself in the foundation breeding world. The most important part of her lines is on her dam's side. While most breeders will be impressed she is a granddaughter of Doc Bar Gem, look at her Royal King breeding. Precious carries a Royal King gene on her pedigree. This gene can only be transferred from sire to mare and dam to mare... but not sire to sire. Precious does this in her breeding. She will give a lucky person many years of fun riding or with this kind of breeding history she would make a great Foundation Quarter Horse embryo doner mare!
