Additional Comments:
LOVES TO SHOW! Voltage is a one of a kinda guy. I've had him for about 9 years and have shown him in Country English Pleasure, Costume, Equitation, Halter, Showmanship, and Show Hack. I've also started to ride him as a hunter pleasure horse but he hasn't had much work with that. He's shown well in many Class A shows, County Fairs, and Youth shows. He's very smart and likes to learn new things. He's 3/4 Arabian but still double registered as a Half Arab and National Show Horse. These days he's on the small side for a NSH (around 15 hands) but that doesn't stop him from being noticed. He certainly has a show presence and a "look at me" persona. Like I said, he loves to show, but Native Costume is his FAVORITE (and mine too).Voltage lives up to his name. He can be pretty hot...especially at a show. However, he can be pretty down to earth too. He doesn't shy from much..looks but doesn't spook. I have successfully taken him trail riding quite a few times. We have also recently put beginner riders and small kids on him with no problems. However, when he is in "work" mode, he's pretty strong and wants to be fast. He has never offered to bite, kick, or do anything malicious but geeze does he hate to have his ears clipped!Voltage's biggest downfall is having me as his owner. He has so much more to offer than what I can do with him. He's a show horse that needs to be worked regularly but instead gets ridden once every 3 months or even less. I have never really been able to give him the time he deserves and my schedule has only gotten worse. Voltage is definitely one of the family and it really breaks my heart to give him up. But I know I'm done showing and I won't be able to ride him for at least a year. He should have somebody to play with and take him to shows. He would be really great for an intermediate or experienced youth (I had him from 14-23). Or a small adult (because he's kind of short). I just want to find him a good home so if you're interested in making an offer, I would love to hear from you!
