Marty is a black 5 yr. old purebred Percheron gelding. Is not thick and heavy built; is more of the modern Draft type-medium boned with excellent skelital balance. Not heavy on the forehand and is 100% sound with NO health problems. Good feet and clean hocks. Extremely gentle in nature. Has a very laid back willing disposition, but is not a dead head. Marty is very intelligant and learns new things quickly. Is trained to drive single and in a team. Has been started under saddle and is doing very well. Loves attention. Does NOT kick, bite or crib. Is good with other horses. Crossties, loads, bathes and clips well (a little fussy with his ears). Is easy to vet and handle feet. Has serious potential for mounted police work. Is NOT a spook and run type of horse.UPDATE 10-10-09 Marty is excelling very well under saddle and has begun basic Dressage schooling.
