Lara J is a 3 year old Bay QH Mare. She is Wonderful, likes ALL people, and warms up to new people fast. An absolute Sweetheart! Shes Calm, and Gentle, Quiet, and Curious. She has been worked on the ranch to sort, rope, cut, gather cattle, & open gates & panels. Mount from right OR left, from the ground, or with a fence (bareback). She will help load cattle, other horses, or just walk into trailer by herself, wood floor or mats. She stands tied, good to farrier, and has been shod (not currently in shoes). She's been worked with a snaffle bit and hackamore, and ridden bareback. She's stout enough to handle the weight of a larger person 285# at 6' (pictured) and gentle enough for someone who is just under 100# at 5'5 (pictured). She needs more work before very young children can ride her alone, but an experienced child, or with a lead rope, both horse and child will do fine. She has NO bad habits, is good with other horses/mules/jacks, dogs, chickens, farm machinery, & can be penned & trailered with cattle. She can be kept in a pasture, or in a stall/small pen. She is open, and has never been bred. She's an easy keeper, has NO special needs, and is happy doing something to make her people happy. She responds better to confidence and patience, rather than harsh corrections. She would do excellent on the trail, as well as a ranch or feedlot/salebarn.

Coggins (Negative) test valid till November 25, 2009. Buyer is responsible for all transport arrangements including Shipping & Health Inspections. Immediate shipping NOT required, you will have time to arrange transport arrangements if needed. Local transport negotiable with seller. Penning available at time of shipping, grounds & times available to accommodate commercial shippers.
