Additional Comments:
PRICE REDUCED FROM $2,500 to $1,000. DUE TO RECENT LIFE CHANGES I MUST SELL SOME OF MY HERD. - I really need to move her as soon as possible. The Canadian Dutchess (a.k.a. Dolly) is a un-registered purebred Friesian Mare. She originally came out of Alberta, Canada as a plow horse but was used as a riding horse once in the US. She has been ridden in parades, trail ridden and used as a broodmare. After a recent visit to our vet to have her teeth floated we were told that Dolly is in her 20\'s not the early teens that we were told when we had bought her. I am not exactly sure as to when her actual foal date was and my vet could not tell for sure her age so I just put 25 yrs old in as her age. This did set us back in our breeding plans for her; however, does not affect her riding ability. She is a dream to ride, she will do a slow western trot or you can kick her up into a nice extended trot. When she is extending at the trot or even in a canter she has the nice up-hill movement that you see in most Friesian horses. She prefers to go slow in her gaits as she has a tendancy to be lazy unless you actually get after and make her move out, once she gets the picture that you want her to move out there is no problem with her being lazy. Beginner riders and up would be able to ride her. She is offered for sale as a riding horse only, as our vet told us it would take alot to get her infoal and keep her in foal. She is up to date on shots and has a current negative coggins test. Visit http://www.whisperingwindsarabians.com/thecanadiandutchess.cfm for photos of her.
