"Goldie" is an exceptional mare. As a 3-yr old, she's been well-started, with over 30 days training, and she already acts more mature and experienced than horses twice her age. She isn't mare-ish at all and is calm and willing. We've just started taking her out on the trail, and she went out by herself and went into the woods, crossed a bridge and a creek without a problem. Goldie has a smooth trot and easy canter. She would be a great Western Pleasure horse and would certainly catch the judge's attention with her smoky palomino coloring. She'd be the all-around family, 4-H, guest horse that is safe and easy to ride. Goldie is healthy and sound, but could use some dental work. She has a wolf tooth and possibly back molars that bug her. We've been riding her in a hackamore or side-pull, and she responds well to both, with the exception of not being comfortable with flexing vertically at the poll. We've priced her very reasonably so the buyer would be able to get her teeth floated. With continued training, and if we get an appointment lined up for her dental, her price will go up. UPDATE 8/5: Goldie's dental work is done!
