Gorgeous deep chestnut breeding stock mare with CHROME--she is registered as a sorrel but is a true deep chestnut even though she has been out in the sun.This (BIG) mare was bred and raised by my family and sold as a two year old to an elderly couple. She was very well broke when she left the farm and was starting to get a nice little handle on her. She tucked that head and would fly backwards. "Lucky" is very athletic and very quick and catty. Would make an excellent penning, barrel, roping, reining, cutting prospect--the people that had her used her for a trail horse--I think with a little tuning up she would even make a nice youth horse for a high school rodeo competitor who wants to do multiple events--or should throw color if kept for a broodmare. She has excellent bloodlines and is built like a TANK! The couple that had her could no longer keep their horses due to medical issues with their daughter, so we bought her back and are looking for her a new home where she will be ridden and have a "job" to do. She is very sweet and willing and absolutely stunning to look at--her bloodlines include Doc Bar, Otoe, King, Poco, Painted Jewel, Jet Dial--all our horses are on www.allbreedpedigree.com if you want to look at her papers. We also have a half sister to her that came from the same couple that was also bred and raised by us (you can see her hindquarters in the pic with Lucky). Will sell as a pair or seperate. The half sister is a 2 yr old reg. APHA tri colored filly named Splendid Poco Lena (we raised her on our farm also), and she cut her front foot 2 months ago and it has a small scar, but she is not limping on it--have a pic of it available. See her ad also. We will take $2200 for the pair and would like to see them go to a good home where they wont just be a pasture ornament.
