14 yr old Bay Mare

I purchased this pretty 14hh quarter horse 7 years ago for $2500. She has been lame on and off since then from an injury that happened before I bought her. She is stiff in her right shoulder all of the time. Prior owner tried chiropractor, shoeing, etc. Seems to be better when trimmed often and weight kept off. She is well trained and requires an experienced rider. She is a sweet heart when you are on the ground, my 2 and 3 year old daughters sit on her back with no halter or rope and she stands well and just eats grass. Loads and trims great. Easy to catch. I believe the attitude she shows sometimes when ridden is related to her leg. She would make a good horse for occasional light riding by a rider with experience. My husband can ride her with a halter and shank. Also would make a good brood mare if she didn't put on too much weight (never been bred), or a pasture mate although likes to be the herd boss. I am selling her because I would like to purchase a horse that I can hop on and go anytime I want. Make me an offer just want to see her go to a good home.
