Novice and up can ride him. No lunging is required to ride ~Rough Boy~ and he is very good on trail ride. He has not been on a lot but very calm when out. ~good horse for intermediate child or novice adult.. Very sweet and kind, gets along with all people and animals. Also looks good in western tack. U.
