Dixie is 7 years old. I bought her two years ago very green broke, but have back problems so I'm looking to buy a smoother ride. This horse can do it all. She can back up, side pass, and yield her hind quarters. I can open and close gates from her back. I can stand straight up on her back and use her as a diving board in water. I can walk under her. I've used her to cut horses and gather herds. I personally do not know how to do barrels, nor do I know how to train for barrels, but the little I've played with them she's done very well. I've logged well over 1,500 miles with this horse going up and down mountain sides, forging trails through shoulder high weeds, running through knee deep mud, and even swimming. I've used her for endurance rides, going so far as thirty miles a day for two weeks. She has a very willing and sweet mind and never says die. This is a very easy horse to work with. I can lead her without a halter or lead rope. She does need an intermediate to advanced rider who will ride her at least once every week or two weeks. She is high energy, and loves to run and work. She would absolutely thrive on a working ranch. She is utd on all shots and coggins- exp in June '10 Only to a good home.
