Cowboy is a wonderful trail horse for only being 4 yo. We have gone over logs, bridges, water, up and down steep hills/ditches with no problems!! He can be spunky at times, but that's when you first start out, then he settles down. If you are in a group and the lead horse takes off, he will keep walking!! He has never tried to rear up or back. Great for the farrier (just shod 9/16), vet, bathes, and loads!! I would say that he is not a beginners horse! Intermiedate yes!
