Additional Comments:
Maylonge is a lovely hunter-bred Thoroughbred & approved MMB German Oldenburg Verband mare in foal to the Hanoverian stallion, Montserrat, for an April 2010 foal. Montserrat was the champion of his stallion licensing and more information and video of him can be found at www.1derful.com. Montserrat was imported late in 2007 and his only US foal in 2008 was via frozen semen. His first US colt, Mufasa, was awarded a GOV premium and declared a stallion prospect and FEI prospect. Very impressive for his first US foal! Maylonge's 2010 foal will be eligible for full registration with the German Oldenburg Verband.
May received excellent comments at her Oldenburg inspection in June 2008: "very good shoulder", "very good scores for her fore and hind limbs - they don't get much better than that", "very correct gaits - as high as TBs get in Oldenburg", and "I like her trot! She must be a very fun horse to ride!" - all from GOV inspector, Holly Simensen.
May is a 1990 mare bred from Thoroughbred sporthorse bloodlines and was never raced. She is by Proponent and out of the mare, Ruff N Icy, by the well-known stallion, Icecapade. May became a broodmare after a successful hunter/jumper career. She is a solid 16.1+ hh and a lovely fleabitten gray.
May is a joy to be around and is also a wonderful riding horse. She is 100% sound to ride and is suitable for a confident beginner/intermediate rider. She has done both dressage and hunter/jumper work with us. She is easy to handle, an easy keeper, barefoot, no vices, etc. Priced at $6500 including 2010 foal.
