Additional Comments:
I will have better pictures of Jim, a video of him in all gaits, and exact measurements in the next couple weeks. I am helping a client sell this HUGE, well bred, and PHENOMINAL gelding. Here is a horse that has seen ALOT in a few years. I received Jim 3 weeks ago from a friend through our saddle club to do some training with. I decided to try him out and start him in western pleasure. He is a smart boy and has picked up the discipline FAST. He is a great mover for being such a big guy. I need to get his exact measurements, but as you can tell in the photo his back is as high as my round pen panels. This picture was one of the first days I had him and was working on tying his head down to get him to give to pressure and flex properly. He caught on quickly and as you can tell, has little to no tension on the ropes. He has a GREAT walk and trot and we are currently working on slowing down his lope. He knows to back, works great off of leg pressure, responds quickly to step into gaits, does lead changes, and is starting to neck rein. He flexes and gives beautifully at his poll. I had him for 2 weeks and took him to a local show. In a class of 15 he placed 4th in walk trot and 5th in western pleasure. Jim started off being broke by ropers and was worked around cattle. He has been trailridden extensively and has been on very advanced trailrides in Iowa and South Dakota. He trailers great and walks easily into trailers and backs out of them. He stands tied, stands well for bathing, clipping, and is good with the farrier. Jim can just about do it all. He is the own son of Simply Scotch by Scotch Bar time. He is a grandson of Conclusive and has Two Eyed Jack in his pedigree as well. He is bred to be an all around horse and proves to be an all around horse. Jim is a great horse that is well broke, but I would not reccomend a beginner or a timid rider for him as his size is intimidating.
