"Barkley" is an 11 year old, very easy-keeping, medium-sized, brown bay gelding, whom I suspect is a Mustang/Quarter Horse cross. He is stout with hard, black feet. He hairs up like a teddy bear in the winter...sorry about the fuzzies!! Photo from mid-May. (Finally shedding out...one of the last to get done with the winter hair!!) He is about the size of a good-sized buff Quarter Pony, with a proper shoulder angle, big boned, solid good-sized feet and about 14.2+ hands tall.Barkley is for a non-timid rider, as he will test occasionally. A small to medium adult would also be a good size match...I am 5'3" and look size-correct on him also. Barkley has been to the trails in the redwoods, other trails, been ridden on the road with traffic, to the beach & to arena games. He hauls, vaccinates, bathes, trims, worms, and handles sheath cleaning well.
